I tried the "Dedicated DOS Session" for the first time last night and
ran into a real problem.
I set up DOOM as an experiment. WARP swapped out and started DOS, then
started DOOM, all went fine. When I exited DOOM, though, the machine
rebooted instead of bringing WARP back up.
I got a few SYS1195 (I think) errors, indicating that WARP was trying
to boot with the DOS CONFIG.SYS. I just booted to a command line and
fixed that, no big deal (after yanking out several of my few remaining
hairs.)
I'm wondering now, though several things:
1. If I try the dedicated DOS session again, what CONFIG.??? file does
WARP use? I don't know if it's there. What's the name?
2. How can I prevent the machine from rebooting instead of just
restarting WARP?
3. Where is the file that was created when WARP swapped out? Is it the
swapfile, or is it on the boot drive? Am I wasting HD space and don't
know it?
Thanks.
