subject: Legal Question

I have just come up with an interesting question that I don't think has
ever been addressed in this echo.
If an adoptee happens upon information regarding a b-parent what are
the ramifications of using such information?
Ok perhaps I better explain this a little better. As many of you know
I met my h-sister/b-father this past spring. Since then I have come
into my original adoption papers (I won't say 'where' I got them) and
some other identifying information regarding my b-mother. If/when I
decide to finally use this information are there reprecusions that
could come about from using this info?
I know adoptee/or searches usually requires some bit of information
that he/her should probably not have unless the search is through an
organization. What I have never seen is whether or not this so called
information has ever been a problem for those who possess it.
THANKS
