FWIW: hurricane didn't do the massive message dump... hurricane was the
cause, though, due to allowing all connections access to all message
areas... the system that performed the dump was joining gatornet and when
they sent +ALL to the hurricane's areafix, it turned on /ALL/ echos instead
of just the gatornet areas... this shows a configuration problem and
possibly lack of attention to detail over at hurricane... the sysop of the
system that got bit with the connection of all those areas and the
rescanned messages being sent back out to his fidonet feed, my system,
learned right quick about using +ALL :)

he and i have had a laugh about it and i've spent some time explaining to
others what happened... laugh and move on... letting the hurricane sysop
know about the problem is one thing... maybe pointing out how to fix it is
another... but other than that, its just a hobby as i've been told many
times in the last year or two ;)

"it" in this case was the "f bomb" but he misspelled
"f" as "of"... "s..t" and "f..k"
are the only two colorful words i see in the post so i don't know where he
came up with "drop several of bombs" as there's only one "f
bomb"...

other than that, it appears to be like others have posted in other areas
from time to time... things just get out of hand for some reason or another
and they blow up saying things that they really don't mean and likely
regret later on after having had time to cool down... it happens to the
best of us at times... i know i've been guilty of it a few times but i've
never gone off half-cocked and dumped the bbs or any networks... that's
really stepping out further than one may actually want to step out...
