Why did they make sure we knew that it was the "largest air
assault" since the start of the war?   Because they knew that the US
media
would be tittilated by that fact and would blast the story into ever nook
and cranny of America.  Because they need us us to think that this raid is
somehow more significant and productive than the countless other raids
(many in the same areas) that have been conducted in our three years in
Iraq.

This Adminstration has been very good at manipulating the media, but
they're getting sloppy.  The facades that they keep erecting to obscure
reality have gone from opaque to translucent and are approaching
transparency
