Partly.

I would have been curious to see what a really free & fair election
would have been but hey that's treu wrt Azerbaijan etc as well.

By really I mean that the opposition had got a fair hearing in the media
for some time before the election etc as well as in the immediate run up.

But like in the rest of the FSU with a few exceptions, this is unlikely in
the extreme.


However wrt the people..I know that a lot of the Belarus cherish stability
over uncertainty & frankly think all pols are the same & that in
reality it doens't matter who you vote for you always get the go. I mean
look at Georgia & the Ukraine, what improvement to the man in the
street has there been thanks to the Orange & Rose revolutions?
