Bill, i have been having a problem with my modem reporting the DTE speed 
which was 19200/ARQ weather it commected to a 300 or a 38400 
i fixed this by changng the Init string slightly, i forget the exact  
command now but it now reports the line speed i.e. carrier 14400 
i re-set the connect string in my comm program from connect to carrier 
i can get the modem to connect and report the correc speed but telix  
dosent recognise any connect string other that connect/carrier below 
9600 or above 19200, it does not accept connect at 14400, do you know if  
there is a command to tell the modem to not send back a 14400 connect  
string ? if not is the newer version of telix (i have 3.15) that will  
connect at 14400 ?
