You, too, are aware that the income tax was only allowed(even though
against the Constitution (92(2)) because of wartime pre-emption?
92(2) says that direct taxation (eg. income tax, sales tax) is the
EXCLUSIVE domain of the provincial & civic governments
The Supreme Court has ruled several times when direct taxation was
challenged on the basis of 92(2) and the S.C. just said that 93(1) says
the federal government can raise money anyway it wants (but the SC omits
the second half of 93(1) which continues "... that does not contravene
any other section of this Act (eg. 92(2)) :P
