(I've been using Total Commander[TC] for over 25 years, from a time when it was
even called Windows C... sush, hush now, lest Bill Gates hears my words. That
pretty much sums up my desire to use Linux systems & software these days.
There are a couple of good Commander-style file managers for Linux BTW... three
come to mind as I type.)

All received. Thank you, muchly. I saved the parts to a file with my
GoldEd/W32, and decoded the file with TC and the marked messages with GoldEd,
and, separately with my preferred editor called SemPoint. (I have to ask, "did
you go through this exercise of decoding, also?") It worked for the most part,
with a couple of not-so-successful versions. One out of four methods worked.
As I am not an expert in such matters, the faulty outcomes were wholly my
doing.
It was an interesting task. Thanks for the test(s), Alexander. :)
Cheers,
Paul.
