I just have to reply to this - I am a registered user of Telemate and just 
upgraded to 4.20 - I also run a Maximus BBS for many years. I have some 
flashing characters and with Telemate in ANSI setup, I have NO trouble with 
the flashing characters. I suggest you reconfigure your Telemate properly.
You will be hard pressed to find a better comm program - and I operate at 
28,800 baud with no problems.
