JE> Well, for the 3rd time my 92 Crown Vic with only 60,000
JE> miles is in the Ford dealers shop for transmission failure!
JE> First time was at 50K when I lost all power in drive. Next
JE> time was at about 55K when it started acting up - slipping
JE> very jerky shifts, etc, and now a repeat of the 2nd time.
JE> Ford has had it 3 days, counting today. My big worry is
JE> what happens when it is out of warranty? My next worry is
JE> then how do I get it fixed properly, if it isn't fixed this
 JE> time?

JE> I am preparing to write Ford and file a strong complaint.
JE> Also I'm going to go to EVERY consumer support organization
JE> I can find with my complaints. Seems ridiculous to me that
JE> they can't properly fix this thing.

what's there to fix? replace the transmission and be done with it... can't
they do that or are they actually attempting to repair the original one??
