Why do it that way?, Why not use the ALT Q to create a script file, edit the
file and use that to send your PW and ID?
Put your name and PW in the phone book for each number you call, then in your
script file for each number, sub $USERID for the name and $PASSWORD for the
PW, this makes the script file look up the info for each different BBS. Also
don't forget to put the xx.scr, where xx is the id for each bbs in the
phone book where is shows script.  Making a script for each BBS gives you a
custom script, as each BBS is different from each other.  I also do a .cap
when logging on for the second time. that way I don't have to call that bbs
over and over just to test my .scr file for seq order, spelling and caps
