FWIW, I'm told that the general rule when pronouncing Japanese words and 
names in English is to pronounce EVERY letter. There are no "silent" vowels.
Hence, ever since I got my first 4010SU back in 1968 (which I still have 
G>),
I've pronounced it "Tee-ack".
