ML> JE> Well, for the 3rd time my 92 Crown Vic with only 60,000
ML> JE> miles is in the Ford dealers shop for transmission failure!
ML> JE> First time was at 50K when I lost all power in drive. Next
ML> JE> time was at about 55K when it started acting up - slipping
ML> JE> very jerky shifts, etc, and now a repeat of the 2nd time.
ML> JE> Ford has had it 3 days, counting today. My big worry is
ML> JE> what happens when it is out of warranty? My next worry is
ML> JE> then how do I get it fixed properly, if it isn't fixed this
ML> JE> time?

ML> JE> I am preparing to write Ford and file a strong complaint.
ML> JE> Also I'm going to go to EVERY consumer support organization
ML> JE> I can find with my complaints. Seems ridiculous to me that
ML> JE> they can't properly fix this thing.

ML>what's there to fix? replace the transmission and be done with it... can't they
ML>do that or are they actually attempting to repair the original one??

Thanks for the reply.
I agree with you except I haven't figured out how to MAKE it
happen.

Have you ever tried to MAKE a dealer do what is logically
the correct thing when the dealer does not want to?
