Not true. I am running FrontDoor 2.20c.mL (the latest version) and it
certainly recognises all connect speeds. However, 31200 & 33600 are not
supported, since FD 2.20c was released long before said modem speeds became
available. All one needs to do is replace the CONNECT 38400 and CONNECT
57600 messages with 31200 and 33600 respectively and FrontDoor has no
trouble reporting them. FD 2.12 is the same in this respect. Perhaps the
version of FrontDoor you had was older.
