OK, this is the _other_ message where Mark reversed his
negation. :-)

I think the main question is "Why wasn't the backbone as
accomodating in the first place?". I suspect there were/are
reasons this was not done some time ago. If it had been there
would've been no need for Dale's 'fix'.
