The settings I've used are:

B0 E1 M1 Q0 R0 V1 X0 &E1 &E4 &E7 &E8 &E11 &E13
&E15 %C0 #C1 &C1
$MB28800 $SB38400 $BA0 &W0

$A0 &A0 #A0 &B0 &BS1 $D0 &D2 %DL0 $EB0 %E1 %E5 #F2 $F0 &G2 #L0
&P1 &Q0 $R0 &R0 &RF1 &S1 &SF0 &T4 #T1 $T1 $V0
$V6 $VD0 Y0

S0 S2 S3 S4 S5 S6 S7 S8 S9 S10 S11 S13 S24 S25 S30
002 043 013 010 008 004 055 004 010 012 080 037 020 000 000

You might want to get an upgrade to your firmware too. I faxed Multi-Tech
details of a problem I was having including full details of the modem's
firmware version and serial number, and they sent an upgrade free.

You'd probably want to set S0=0 and X4 (this modem isn't used for dialing
out, so X0 works ok), but otherwise the setting are for 38400 bps DTE rate,
bi-directional hardware handshaking.

The current firmware revision that I'm running shows:

Hope this helps.
