This way reasonable magnifications would be possible and the eyepiece would not have such a hard job to deliver good images. <<< Buchroeder at the Bellingham conference said that even f/2.5 with corrector would be 'easy' 'straightforward' - if I recall properly he said you will need a two glass corrector spaced a few inches in front of the image plane for easiest designing.
