I have to agree with Rich on this one. Gary's post might be a little
polemical, but in all honestly not all that much more than many of the
recent posts around here. Perhaps we could all tone it down a bit?

I am not the least bit religious and I am often perplexed by (in my view)
the weird things people do in the name of religion (including centuries of
slaughter all in the name of a higher power). It is quite disturbing to me
to see that killing in the name of religion continues seemingly unabated in
much of the world, and I dislike it when those who pointedly observe this
are shouted down as bigoted. It's another form of political correctness,
never let the facts get in the way of ideology, etc.
