I had to scrap large chunks of a set of stories I was writing after I read
= the premise for Joss Whedon's series Firefly. The basic premise of the
stor= ies were a little too close to Firefly's for my liking.
Most of the basic elements are going to resurface (in one form or another)
= in the Starfleet Academy stories I'm now writing so at least it isn't a
com= plete loss.
