Really?  I've had zombie processes on my computer: the term
"zombie" refers to a process that has died (i.e., exited) but
that is still in the process table because some other process is waiting to
check the zombie's exit status.  If that other process never checks, the
zombie stays in the process table indefinitely.

Of course, this use of the word is just techincal jargon created by people
with a sense of humor, but Paul can certainly use the word
"zombie" in the same way, which is more or less what he did.
