It must have been bad if it reminded you of stuff Phil writes, but
seriously the anti-American stuff coming out of Canada, acceptance of
deserters and their celebration even among the politicians and Canadian
intelligentsia, and what appears to me to be very loose almost pro
terrorist immigration/visa standards, and the numerous anti-USA slanders
made by various PM's and cabinet members in the Canadian government over
the past 3 years does not make me think of Canada as a friend of the USA.
Recent conservative party victories are hoped by me to change this, but its
still too soon to tell.
