subject: Polymorphism ?

Thank you for the example. Whenever I read about Polymorphism, the
authors (in every case) teach by example: IOW, "here's how to do it",
without stating what "it" is in a definitive way.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is (the more differences the
better) between polymorphism and dynamic binding? Is there ever a
situation where one exists and at the same time the other doesn't? If
there are none, the two words must be synonyms. That begs the question:
why have two words when one will suffice?
