-BL> The rates on double air time for 3 way calling etc are
-BL> about
-BL> standard for Bell Mobility Cellular and Can-Tel in canada
-BL> too.
I haven't seen or heard of a cellular carrier who charges any differently.
Although from a legal standpoint I think they should be very careful about
the way they word those charges. If they say they are billing you double
airtime for 3 way calls, they are charging for something that they are not
providing. My phone has one xmitter and one receiver in it.
The 3 way call is added at the MTSO and is done via the LL system, the radio
link between my phone and the cell site remains unchanged. Therefore no
justification for charging double airtime.
-BL> And in canada out cellular long distance is surcharged 15%
-BL> and is
-BL> not open to competitive toll carriers either.
Hmm, any idea what you pay a minute during the day and offpeak for your LD?
I don't make any LD calls on my mobile phone, just calls within the service
area. I do have Sprint as my LD carrier. 10 cents a minute after 7pm.

Damn, those plans are alot cheaper than the ones we have over here. The
only plan that is over here for $19.95 a month is C1 security, and there
are 5 minutes included a month, and you pay $1.05 peak and $.45 off peak
or something like that. GTE Zone Saver is the cheapest, with $25 a month
and $.39 peak/offpeak but you have to stay within a set zone, travel outside
of that zone and you pay $.79
GE> My plan is 250 peak minutes and 60 off-peak minutes a month for free.

How do you get the free plans, just because you are a reseller or something?
I wish I was a damn reseller :)
