& now we have the Copts moving back in:
"Diocese of Ireland, Scotland, N.E. England and Its Affiliated Areas
under the care and leadership of His Grace Bishop Antony is aiming to
establish the first Coptic monastery in the United Kingdom. The monastery
will be named "Saint Athanasius" Sharing the vision
His Holiness Pope Shenouda III has blessed and approved the project.
Currently, the diocese has agreed to buy “ The Manor House “ in Langdale
End near Scarborough in the N. E. of England to be the place of this
monastery in a quite idyllic private valley setting on an overall area of
22.55 acres with 3 cottages and 2 flats attached to the main house which
comprises principle bedroom with ensuite shower room, 3 further bedrooms,
cloakroom, drawing room, library, sitting room, dining room, garden room,
breakfast kitchen, walk-in pantry, linen room, house bathroom and a shower
bathroom. In addition to stables, workshop, garage, laundry room and a
summer house."
Just as we get rid of the Cistercians the sodding Copts come in...
