Which qmodem are you using? I`m using qmodem 4.6 and I to had a
problem not wanting to hang up. So i found this code in a differnet conf
someone said would work and it works here. First go to qmodem Qinstall
then to Modem then to modem commands then to Hangup command delete what
is after hangup command then type this   ^~^~^~+++^~^~^~ATH^M
Then when you wanto hang up manual just hit ALT H    and it will hang up
it does here after i found it before when something happened i would
have to unplug phone line. I hope i have help take care bye BTW I`m
