Yep. I noticed that when I d/led my packet. The message was
intended for Jean. I guess I need to be more careful when enter
messages in the wee hours ;-). As the traffic is not heavy here I
assume that Jean will see the message.

My background is in Silver Xpress and I know it doesn't care
about the extension. But I think BW will allow extensions of rep
and rnn where n is a numeral i.e. r01 etc. That leads me to
believe that it will accept any extension. Easy enough to send a
test message to find out. The SysOp creates the name portion of
the filespec. I think that has to remain the same to prevent the
user from u/ling a rep to one BBS that was intended for another
BBS.
I have never had a need to do so but I understand that the SX
door will allow a batch u/l of multiple rep packets. If you are
interested you might give it a try with the BW door.
I am not a SysOp either but I have done some experimenting. If
you have a private message areas available you can send yourself a
private message without bothering anyone else. Except the SysOp of
course ;-). When I first arrived on my present BBS there was no SX
door so I used the BW door to u/l and d/l my mail packets.
Sorry for the mis-addressed message but making new friends it
not all bad ;-).
Later,
Charles
