i have only two systems on a desk... all of the rest are on the (carpetted)
floor... those two are only on a desk because there is no more room on the
floor for them... plus they are two of the most important machine so they
deserve a higher perch than the others ;)

one of them is my perimeter firewall... the other is my main server/bbs
machine... then there's two or three workstations, a firewall development
machine, a NAS and two backend servers hosting some domains and
databases... my 8'x3' workbench has three monitors, a kvm switch, two mice
and three keyboards on it...

sounds reasonable :) i don't have anything here with enough real
capabilities to run any VMs... if i could combine the memory from all the
machines, ok... i might... but there's only so much speed to go around... i
just know that the bbs machine is a lot happier now that it has had its
recent brain transplant -=B-)
