Hardware's getting cheap here in the US. My Core 2 Duo workstation with 8 GB of
RAM and a 160 GB HD was $199, with free shipping. I have another 8 GB of RAM,
can't remember how much it was. I replaced the drives with 2x2TB drives and
with 64 bit Windows 7 can run everything in VMs.
I'll save on power and headaches with this setup, I figure it'll pay for itself
that way.
