Another fast working, liquid polishing compound is "Big-C" from
Universal Photonics. Good characteristics at all concentrations. In
common with suspensions in general, in machine polishing it seems less
prone to seize the mirror than home-brew mixes of water and cerox powder
- this may have something to do with the suspension agents. It's
probably 2 or 3 microns, but the finish is very nice. Switch over to
something finer as polishing nears completion.
