Last summer I restored a 1969 VW Beetle - basically everything other than
painting the car. It was a lot of fun, super easy to work on...the motor was
like 200lb and I was able to use a skateboard as an engine stand.

Now I have a 1967 GTO but I'm going the opposite direction from what you
mention. I'm actually converting it to use a modern motor, trans, etc., but
to keep the same old "shell" of an old muscle car. It's fun for its own
reasons but man, what a money pit.
