MK> Not me. I was relating my own experience and which parent of mine
MK> gave me the most or better warnings. It was my mom mostly.

Mom's are like that sometimes.

MK> That should be true across the board, woman or man, however it isn't
MK> always practical to follow it to the letter. I imagine if it comes
MK> down to where it isn't practical then the best course of action is to
MK> avoid those people, man or woman, rather then have to deal with them,
MK> if that is even possible. As far as marriage was concerned, it was
MK> never really an issue in the only marriage I personally was involved
MK> in. Mistreatment and disrespect weren't the failure issues on either
 MK> of our parts.

It is true across the board. I know some women who treat their guys pretty bad
too. Maybe worse than the ones doing the mistreating is the too passive one who
allows it to happen. That goes both ways too. Either way, both need to build up
their self-esteem and treat each other better.

MK> Understood, but I was talking in general terms. I was led to believe
MK> that ALL women were like that and had to learn from reality that it
MK> isn't true. Is it? From my experience I'd say it wasn't a given
 MK> about women in general.

No it isn't true, although I think everyone woman has some in them, just not as
much as others. I don't think anything is a given about any group of people.

MK> I saw a thingy on the news about that. Apparently younger women
MK> these days still prefer 'older' men as a rule, 'older' being a
MK> relative term. Most of the 30-ish more experienced women they talked
MK> to thought the idea of a younger man sounds better then it actually
MK> is. Most of them claimed they found men a bit older then themselves
 MK> to be more attractive.

Of course the younger women want the older men. They don't want to go to jail.
hehehehe Ok, 30ish is still young. They needed to talk more to the 40 or even
50 and up women. Maybe a bit older to those 30ishs means more security
moneywise, although with the job situation that isn't always true nowadays.
That could have definitely been what made the older man more attractive.
Personally, I look at what kind of man the man is before I look at anything
else. I want nice over anything else.

MK> I think it is more peer pressure then anything, but for sure hormones
MK> are rearing their ugly heads at that time more then later in life.
MK> Self control is a battle and it doesn't help when your peers are
MK> claiming that they're getting what you wish you were getting and then
 MK> the BS starts flowing.

Peer pressure, status, not much different really. It is just a shame the kids
have to go through it all.

SC>> From what I hear the girls are getting just as bad though, thinking
SC>> that they aren't *IN* if they don't have sex. If they only realized
SC>> the seriousness of their actions.

MK> Right. I get the impression that more and more these days the girls
MK> are applying the additional peer pressure. Given the increase in teen
MK> pregnancies there might be truth to that.

Well, I've heard teen pregnancies have gone down and up. I guess it depends who
is taking the poll. But you have to remember that it takes 2 to create a
pregnancy. Condoms are a lot cheaper and healthy to use during sex. The birth
control pill could have a lot of bad side effects and some females can't even
take them.

SC>> Hmmmmmmmmmm...I've been taking cold showers but it is because of
SC>> the heat and humidity here. (whewwww changed that subject quick)
 SC>> hehehe

 MK> That too. ;-)

We are getting close to fall weather now, but still getting mostly 80 degree
days in October. I'll take it!!! :-)
