Nah the point is that the Iraqi resistance is now well funded, well
organised & in the midst of a unification process. They now no longer
need a Jordanian to run the show & in fact it's counter productive in
the "day after the foreign fighter withdrawal" scenario where the
local fighters seek to swap simple resistance to the foreigner for
political power within Iraq.

Local nationalism vs pan-arabism/pan-islamism is generally always a fight
that the "pan" people lose.
