I have recently purchased a model 99 Singer which isnt that rare, but 
  the fact that it was a special machine made by Singer for Educational 
Purpose
  only and wasnt for sale, makes it rare. It has a tag on the case that
  indicates this. Also it has a black crinkle finish. No scrolling that
  is the trade mark of the company . Only thing that identifys it as 
  being Singer is the Bright brass oval tag. Very unusuall piece..
  On a one to ten I would say maybe a four, but could be bought reasonalble
  and restored, would make nice collectable. If interested please post me
