     Joe I am far from being any kind of an expert on this computer
     stuff. Don't even know how to turn mine off and on so just leave it
     on.
     Sounds like the modem and the computer are not talking.  Dumb
     question, after you make the changes and set up the alt n screen
     and do the save changes bit have you turned your computer off and
     back on as I think you have to do this before the changes take
     effect.
     I am sure you will get some more and better qualified help but you
     might start with this as a starting point.
