subject: New caller msg;-)

 MR> I'm hoping someone could give me some advice on how to
 MR> create a msg for a new caller when they log on, so that
just find a utility that will automagically post a message, and let you pass
the to: name on the command line. I used to use SENDMSG.EXE to do this
(before i just made them read newuser2.mec =) (put some [pause]'s in))
here is my welcome.bat (one line):
@sendmsg $d:\msg\private "SysOps,1:249/174" "%1 %2 %3 %4,1:249/174" -ap
 "-sWelcome to Chaos BBS" > welcome.log
then in maximus call:
[xtern_dos]welcome.bat %n
(%n is user's name)
it would then run the program, and they'd have mail when they checked.. (be
sure to do it BEFORE checking for mail, so they see it on their first call)
ttyl, greg
