subject: compiler.h, msged and __FLAT__

Hello folks!

I have a problem here with the recent version of smapi: msged doesn't
compile anymore under *ix systems with this smapi, because in compiler.h
*ix systems (like Linux, FreeBSD, Cygwin) are defined as __FLAT__. This
goes wrong within the code where msged is deciding what to do upon this
define.

Now I can either change compiler.h to not define UNIX along with __FLAT__,
or I can change the corresponding checks for __FLAT__ in msged. Which way
is the preferred solution?

Regards,
Gerrit
