Good grief, if you believe that then you have some troubles with reality.

Part of the resistance is as you say, however only part & frankly the
numbers have been picking up as more locals have been pissed off by family
members killed, imprisoned etc & indeed some have adopted islamic
fascism as their cause hich is right at odds with Saddam & his people.
