DR> I keep a journal of all of our vacation trips. It's a habit that I
DR> picked up from my mom. She kept logs of all of our vacations. About a
DR> year ago, my dad fulfilled one of his retirement goals and typed out
DR> all of the journals on the 'puter. He gave each of us kids a printed
DR> and bound copy. I treasure this - it brought back even more memories.
DR> I'm going to do the same for my kids, with the journals that I keep as
DR> well.
What a wonderful gift! Accompanied by photographs and maybe some video
tapes and you'll have something for your girls to always treasure!
Speaking of treasures, do you know how I get the kids to leave things
alone around here, without marring or breaking them? By simply
telling them,"You'd better be careful! Someday that'll be YOURS!!!"
Stops them dead in their tracks! (g)
... The future is built on dreams. Hang on to them.
