I basically tried to stick with what I liked, and what works the best for me. 
I've found binkd to be the most stable mailer I've ever used. That thing can 
run for months without my intervention with no issues whatsoever.

Since that's only binkp connections, I asked a friend to take care of any POTS 
or hybrid dialup connections (for my network), as I'm not going to go buy a 
modem in this day and age. :)

Otherwise my BBS software takes care of QWK transfers, and I run pureftpd to 
take care of FTP connections.

I don't know of anyone that uses transx/email these days, so I'm not going to 
bother with that, and I'm going to take a look at FREQ-U pretty soon here for 
file requests, only becuase I noticed some people still actually use that 
method here in Fidonet.. even though any search engine these days will find 
you some results 100x faster. lol  But some people don't run websites, and 
have some pretty old files, so I can see a use for FREQs still.
