The European Commission will announce on Monday a suspension of aid to the
Palestinian government because it has not recognized Israel or renounced
violence, a British official said.

"The Commission will inform ministers on Monday of its decision
temporarily to suspend aid to the Palestinian government," the senior
British official said on Friday.
