Even back in the "good old days", I took advantage of the fact that in
my local dial-up area, two different Fido nets were available. Multiple
bbs's let me know that messages got off the original bbs, and multiple
nets let me know that it had a chance to get out into the further world.
VERY useful info, when one doesn't get any answers to messages, to know
whether they even are going out. I came by it honestly... My
father is a firm believer in belt AND suspenders... ;) Some seeming
redundancy is a really useful thing... :)

... Can I blame my spelling on Line Noise?
