You can restore a lost Veteran's Day Tradition

Many years ago it was an annual tradition for city newspapers to publish the
names of all known local living veterans. (The names of deceased veterans were
published on Memorial Day).

You can help restore this long abandoned tradition simply by mailing your name
and the names of any living military veterans in your community to your local
newspaper for publication on Veteran's Day. You should address your letter
containing your list of names to the Editor of your newspaper followed by the
request: "PLEASE PUBLISH ON VETERANS DAY".

Veterans Day has grown less prominent over the years due to the shrinking
veteran population. But you alone can help to restore the importance of Veterans
Day by requesting that the names of surviving veterans be recognized and
appreciated for their military service and sacrifice.

Do this for the veterans in your city. It's important.
