Config files? I never used TSE Jr. and am not sure what config
files you are referring to. I was a Qedit user, and found it easiest
to burn in the Qedit Menu set in TSE 2.5 All I did was make a few
custom color changes, path changes, cursor changes and it was working
like the old Qedit I was used to, with a few bonus functions. I'm
still finding some great new features. TSE 2.5 is Loaded.
CC> Apart from managing larger files, what are the main advantages of the

If you are a TSE owner, you should have the documents, including
the brochures describing all the TSE products. They will go into
detail concerning the differences. Or you can ask specifics in
this echo.
For me, the 64 Meg file editing size is a BIG plus of course. Then
comes the two best features - internal spell checker, and the internal
sort. DOS 5.0 Sort is limited to 64K size files, while TSE 2.5 has
sorted some whopper sized text files for me. Vertical windows are nice
for compares, and the Macro Language has allowed me to customize some
special editing. The Date Stamp comes in handy for programming files,
and the Center Lines option is superb! In the past I had to write a
program to center the text in a file. In TSE, punch a key or two, and
whatever I want is centered. It's also nice to be able to do file
management while having a half dozen text files open. In the past I'd
have to shell or exit Qedit, and run LIST to do my file management.
Now I can do it in TSE 2.5
Matter of fact, most TSE users don't know you can be running an
Off-Line Mail Reader like Blue Wave, editing a reply like this,
go into the TSE file manager, move around your hard drive to say your
download directory, and view the contents of the inside of a ZIP file.
PLUS if there is a document inside of that zip you want to read, like
the READ_ME.NOW or FILE_ID.DIZ, you can view the file inside the zip
too with TSE 2.5. I'm able to do this on a 286 with 1 meg of ram,
with a BWave running, while having several meg size files open.
TSE has NEVER crashed my system. It is very stable. TSE PRO does it
all, and the price is reasonable from the standpoint of how much I
value it and use it! [PS - I am not receiving any compensation for
this post. ]
... To Look Dazzling, Persuasive, Elegant - use the BLUEWAVE with TSE PRO!
