BM> Skyway at Disneyland removed?

The main reason is due to the suicide risk of the ride. It is one that has
had at lest two "leapers" that I know of for certain... and a few kids who
have "fooled around" and nearly fallen out. If the ride were to be built in
this day and age... it would never be approved due to safety reasons...
nless
the entire upper part was "caged" in so nobody could possibly fall out.
Another reason is low "person's per hour"... which is "suicide" to any
attraction at any Disney park... that is why "Mission to the Moon/Mars" was
finally closed.
BM>
BM> Castmembers have told various Echoears that it was due to a lack of

I will now debunk the rest... seismic wise... it is one of the safest
attractions in the entire park (so that is not a good reason... just
umor)...
wheelchair access (ADA does not require the park to be 100% accessable... so
waivers would cover this attraction... just like the monorail... which is
technically inaccessable since a freight elevator is used on the hotel side
and there is a 'people mover' type ramp on the park side and you can not "ride on" a wheelchair on to the
monorail.... so once again... another rumor that is unfounded). Worker
afety
to a very small part and an open ride that some idiot can imitate an olympic
diver by doing a "swan dive" into the concrete 20+ feet below... is the main
reason... and again... low ride capacity, and not enough riders doomed it as
well.
Hope this helps,
John
