I have that '72 model 50hp Johnson I was talking about a few messages back 
and it burned very little gas. I only had a 6 gallon tank with it and I could 
run most all day on the big lakes and still have a lot of gas left over. I 
sure wish my i/o would get the mileage that 50 did!  hehe...
