Just goes to show what YOU know!  You go in a basement the freaking
HOUSE falls on you.  We dig our storm cellars way out in the yard, away
from EVERYTHING. ('Specially the satellite dish!)  
Seriously, when we have bad weather we generally have a FLOOD associated
with it. We got troubles enough trying to keep the water out of the
HOUSE without having a dang HOLE under it to fill up and waste a lot of
time trying to keep IT dry.  It's so flat around here the water has no
place to flow TO!  I had three inches in my back yard a few minutes ago!
