I am pretty much a 6m guru, just curious about the IC-756. Ham Radio Outlet
sent me a catalog the other day with alot of info on it and a picture of it
and I am impressed so far. Unlike the 736 it will run on 12VDC and has some
bells and whistles I like but don't really need. It will filter down pretty
narrow and does beat some Yaesu & Kenwood models on the filtering issues.
I do understand that your TS-60 is the meanest 6m monobander out there but
the price of that thing exceeds by two times what I feel their worth.
I am hoping to have several thousand to spend on my station in March and I
understand the 756 runs about 3Gs and maybe if I'm lucky I'll grab a 706 as
well for the car. Most of the time I hang out on 52.525 FM and hope to hear
you the next band opening. By the way, it did open one day last week to
Canada. KE4GQE
