At my current gig, the technology group replaced their Lenovo Thinkpads running
Windows XP with a lot of corporate crap bundled in. Their story was that
they needed a UNIX-like environment to support the production site. Instead of
throwing Ubuntu on their Thinkpads, their boss bought them MacBook Pros.
I'd prefer a Lenovo running Ubuntu, myself. I could never get the hang of
Macbook keyboards. I've been typing on IBM Model M desktop keyboards and
Thinkpad laptop keyboards for too long.
