This past Thurs., I traded in the Olds and got a '85 Plymouth Voyager.
Oh, boy, you know what is going to hit the fan. It's very clean, and
runs surprisingly good considering how many miles are on it. (167k). I
went to a dealership and looked at their vans. They took it for a test
drive and came back, talked to each other, and they told me they would
trade even up. I think after taxes, fees, and licensing, I spent a
total of $76.90, I would spend five times that if I would have financee
(d) one. The price tag on it was $2,250. I think I got a pretty good
deal. My husband and I have 2 children and when we go on vacation, it's
a 8 hr. drive, when we took my k-car, after the luggage and baby
parapanelia (spelling), there wasn't much room left for us! So the
mini-van will help in that perspective, not to mention making grocery
shopping easier, and going to the laundrymat. Everybody I have talked
to says I got a good deal, but one person had to be weird and tell me to
take the van back and get the car back. I said "You have to be joking!"
You have to change houses to adjust to a growing family, and you have
to change vehicles for the same reason. It's a 5 passenger van, so if
we have 2 more kids, then we will have to upgrade at that point. But we
have to move into a bigger house before that. (Hopefully, next summer.)
Well, I think I nawed your ear enough for one day. Take
care.
