I appreciate the info! If you see a half gallon solid state 6m amp that needs
work and is aquirable let me know. I am not sure such animal exists and I may
have to homebrew myself up on but I seem to be ignorant on the board etching.
It may be neccesary to break down and buy one of those RF Concepts or Mirage
amps. I did hear somewhere there was a 6/10m amp out there but the power
rating was'nt known. That may be the way to go since mono band amps are not
as (Feild Day Usable) as the multiband stuff. Last summer I hosted a feild
day for NC4E on Pigeon Mnt (Ga.) & worked 5 States ground wave from up there
and would like to expand that with yagis. I do use QRP power during the event
but before the event I usually use power to talk hams in from Florida,
Tennesee and Alabama in route to the event. N4YWK usually broadcasts the
event via ATV 77 miles to the South East to Atlanta via 1.2 Gigahertz to
their ATV repeater and W4KIP tapes it there. The only problem we had was the
heat that day and the bright sun seemed to zap our energy but I will almost
bet we will all be back up there next summer. KE4GQE
